Kate Decker is an associate attorney for Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP (SLK) where she has co-chaired SLK’s Leadership Shumaker Toledo and has served as the chair of SLK’s Women’s Leadership Initiative since 2016.

Decker graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a BA in communications and sociology and received her law degree from OSU Moritz Law School. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio, as well as the Fourth and Sixth Circuit Courts of Appeals.

Decker serves the community as a member of the Toledo Advisory Board for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Northern Ohio chapter, where she was a candidate for Woman of the Year and raised $70,000 with her team during a 10-week campaign. She also served as a board member of the Women’s Initiative of United Way of Greater Toledo and as the chair of the Imagination Library committee; and as a mentor through the Ohio Women’s Bar Association Mentoring Circles program; among a range of others.
