ADAM SMIDI, Joe’s Autos

Adam Smidi is the chief executive and principal owner of Joe’s Autos, an automotive dealership in Toledo with revenue over $5 million per year, which continues to grow, as well as an entrepreneur, activist, and educator. He has authored and co-authored a range of publications and is also a leader in the PhD program at Bowling Green State University (BGSU).

While working full-time, Smidi obtained both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Toledo (UT) in management and marketing. He has a range of recognitions, including the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award and Research Recognition Award from BGSU’s School of Media and Communication, and he was also recognized as a dedicated advocate for women’s rights by the Women of Toledo, among others.

In the community, he has spent his time teaching business and communication classes at both UT and BGSU, he serves on the board of Central Academy of Ohio, and is the Toledo Chapter advisor for Alpha Lambda Mu fraternity. He also speaks for non-profits to discuss how economic and social justice, women’s rights, and equality are values shared by Muslims and Americans.
