RYAN THOMPSON, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services

Ryan Thompson is the workforce administrator at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, where he oversees the delivery of employment services across all 88 counties of Ohio and within 89 OhioMeansJobs centers. He was recently selected committee chair for the upcoming National Association of Workforce Professionals Veterans Affairs Conference hosted in Washington, DC.

Thompson is a disabled veteran, having served 10 years in the US Air Force, where he received the Operation Iraqi Freedom Medal, Operation Enduring Freedom medal, non-commissioned officer of the year award, and Tuskegee Airman of the Year award.

Thompson was appointed to the Village of Grand Rapids (Ohio) planning commission, and is a volunteer for the local fire department, Habitat for Humanity, and March of Dimes. Additionally, he is a baseball coach for the local Northwest Ohio Knights team, which he has led to the league championship for the last two seasons.
