Megan Casiere is the Lucas County administrator and oversees all operations under the Board of Commissioners, including managing 10 departments, advising on long and short-term planning, directing the County’s strategic initiatives, and representing the Commissioners to State and local agencies, community partners, and external boards.

She is highly involved with the County’s major building and real estate projects, including the redevelopment of the SeaGate Centre and soon-to-be constructed Garden Inn / Homewood Suites in downtown Toledo. Also, under Casiere’s leadership, Lucas County was designated a Certified Work Ready Community, one of 19 counties in the country to participate in the program.

Casiere is a graduate of The Ohio State University (OSU) with a BA in political science and she obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of the District of Columbia Law School. In addition, she serves the community as president of the Lucas County Economic Development Corporation and as executive director of the Workforce Development Board, among other positions in the area.
