Ashley Futrell is an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in the Criminal Divison of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio. As an AUSA, Futrell investigates and prosecutes federal crimes in our region. She began her legal career in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases.

Futrell received her college degree and a Certificate of Advanced Leadership Studies from American University; her Master’s from Johns Hopkins University; and her law degree from Howard University School of Law. Prior to law school, she worked in government affairs on Capitol Hill.

Futrell is involved in the community, serving on the board of directors for the Toledo Bar Association, United Way’s Women’s Initiative, Leadership Toledo, and the Junior League of Toledo. She also serves on the board of trustees for the Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts and is active with Mom’s House Toledo and The Toledo Women’s Bar Association.
