RACHEL GAGNON, Sunshine Communities
Rachel Gagnon is the chief operating officer for Sunshine Communities, where she successfully managed a $5 million-plus community integration project for individuals with developmental disabilities, implemented a medical ventilator infrastructure expansion to support ventilator-dependent individuals, developed a manager trainee program for aspiring leaders within the organization, and more.
Gagnon went to The Ohio State University (OSU) and then to Capital University Law School where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, was elected to the Order of the Curia, earned the Dean’s Excellence Award for three years, and was an Adoption & Child Welfare Law Fellow. She is licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Michigan.
In the community, Gagnon serves as an advisory board member for the Open Table Toledo Foster Care Initiative; as a member of Maumee Rotary and Toledo Rotary; as a member of United Way’s Women’s Initiative; as a member of Truly Toledo’s planning committee; and has done volunteer work in Morocco, where she also acquired and managed a USAID Grant for a water development project.
