SCOTT NOONAN, United Way of Greater Toledo

Scott Noonan is the AFL-CIO labor liaison for the United Way of Greater Toledo and serves on the City Council for the City of Maumee.

Noonan was born with Goldenhar Syndrome, a congenital disorder that gave him scoliosis and multiple facial deformities, but after 20-plus surgeries to correct the issue, he has excelled educationally and earned a degree at Miami University (Ohio). He was recently selected as an “18 of the Last 9” honoree by the Miami University Alumni Association, a program designed to honor young alumni who are living out the values inherent in a Miami education.

In addition to his role with the City Council for the City of Maumee, Noonan serves the community as a board member for the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Toledo-Lucas County Commission on Disabilities, and Toledo Police Athletic League (PAL). He is also the first vice president on the Old Newsboys Goodfellows Association, on the board of trustees for the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG), and a development and outreach committee member for the Fair Housing Center, among others.
