ROGER KUNS, Kuns Northcoast Security

Roger Kuns is the president of Kuns Northcoast Security (KNCS), which in 10 years grew from two employees to 12 with offices in Fremont and Perrysburg. During COVID-19, KNCS introduced a thermal detection device to over 350 different locations including schools, hospitals, manufacturing, and governmental facilities.

Kuns attended The University of Toledo (UToledo) and achieved a business degree, but upon graduation, was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marines and went on to spend seven years as an officer, deploying all over the world in support of for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom and receiving a range of recognitions. After the Marine Corps, Kuns purchased KNCS.

Kuns serves the community in a variety of ways, including as the 2019-2020 Fremont Rotary Club president; a 2020 Fremont Fireworks committee member and major donor; a 2017 to present Fremont Blues, Brews, and Brats festival committee member; and from 2016 to present Students Renewing Interest and Value of Education (STRIVE) mentor; among others.
