BREANNE RUBIN, Eastman & Smith Ltd.
Breanne Rubin, an attorney and partner at Eastman & Smith Ltd., focuses her law practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactional matters, corporate governance and healthcare transactional work, contracting, and regulatory compliance matters. Rubin also helps her healthcare clients navigate the confusing and ever-changing regulatory landscape of the healthcare industry. As counsel to varying types of different healthcare providers, she frequently advises them on a number of compliance issues including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act and other fraud and abuse regulations, HIPAA, and other federal and State laws.
Rubin has taken on many active leadership roles within the firm. She currently serves as the chair of the mergers and acquisitions practice group, and has served as co-chair of the firm’s healthcare practice group. . In addition, Rubin currently serves as the chair of the personnel committee of Eastman & Smith, where she is responsible for recruiting, screening, and hiring attorneys and staff, along with monitoring and evaluating their professional development.
Since 2016, Rubin has provided pro bono legal work to That Neighborhood Free Health Clinic, a health clinic in the Vistula Neighborhood providing quality free healthcare to the uninsured and underserved in the surrounding community. Since 2018, she has served on the advisory board for the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Development Center, and is an active member of the executive council of the Northwest Ohio Chapter of Prevent Blindness, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing critical sight-saving resources to those in need. She is also passionate about helping start-up companies achieve success.
