The idea for Giving Birthdays developed when Gibson became aware that many children in foster or kinship care never get to celebrate their birthdays. Through donations of money and gift items, she has been able to provide quality celebrations. Beginning in 2021, she provided 53 celebrations in Sandusky County. The following year the program included Wood County and celebrated 97 birthdays. The program is set to expand into Erie and Seneca Counties next year.

Gibson is the Communications and Project Administrator at Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC). She is a graduate of Leadership Sandusky County and served on that board including as chairman. She serves on the board of Sandco Industries as secretary and is a Regional Advisory Council member for OhioKan’s Region 2. She was named 2021 Young Leader of the Year by the Sandusky County Young Professionals Group in 2021 and received the Clark Ambassador Award from the Sandusky Chamber of Commerce in 2020.

Gibson is a graduate of Tiffin University.
