DYLAN ORWIG

The Lathrop Company

Orwig is Business Development Manager at Lathrop, a subsidiary of Turner Construction. In his role, he leads the sales team to yearly sales revenue of $200 million.  He also provides oversight of the Leadership Turner Program.

Orwig leads the steering group that oversees the Leadership Turner Program for new hires that establishes the high priority Turner places on community service/giving back. In the community, he was a co-founder of Draft Day, an annual program that has impacted the lives of over 300 students working in construction careers.

His community leadership includes Team Recovery board member, 2Tuff2Talk founding board member, Walk to End Alzheimer’s Leadership Advisory Council board member, United Way Emerging Leaders board member and Secretary, and Wood County Economic Development Corporation board member. He serves as a member of additional organizations.

Orwig is the recipient of many awards including the “Jeff Beitel Leadership award from Turner Construction for exemplary community service leadership, a national Turner Construction Continuous Improvement award, and UW Campaign Manager Hall of Fame. He is a member of 15 additional organizations and a graduate of several leadership programs, including Leadership Toledo.

Aspiration to be a first-generation college graduate and work in the construction industry like his father, led Orwig to the University of Toledo and a Bachelor of Science degree (Magna Cum Laude). He began his eight-year career with Lathrop as an entry-level engineer.
