A graduate of Bowling Green State University and Palmer College of Chiropractic, Fields left her career after four years, to open a new restaurant and brewery in Sylvania with her husband. Inside the Five Brewing survived the pandemic and opened a second restaurant in Perrysburg in 2020. In less than three years the business grew from 20 employees to over 100. In 2022 they opened a production facility that increased capacity from a 5 to 20-barrel brew system. In addition to their restaurants, they supply craft beer to over 100 bars and restaurants. The restaurant has earned “Best” in multiple categories and their beers have earned many medals and prizes.

Fields is the founder of the Brandon and Katie Fields Youth Fitness Fund that hosts free football and cheerleading clinics in Ohio, and a fitness camp in Florida. The fund has donated to the Mom’s House playground and Girls on the Run.

Fields was appointed to the Recreational Task Force by Mayor Kapszukiewicz, is a Sylvania Chamber board member, and Vice President of the Downtown Sylvania Association. She volunteers as a coach for Girls on the Run and coaches boys soccer and tee ball.
