SARA SWISHER
Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce
In her role as Vice President of Talent and Workforce, Swisher leads a team responsible for talent attraction; Toledo Region Brand; EPIC Toledo; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; and workforce initiatives. Leading the charge to expand the talent pool for businesses in our region, she works collaboratively with community partners to connect employers with veterans, individuals with disabilities, returning citizens, youth, women, and seniors. In her previous role, she was Director of EPIC, the largest young professional program in the region.
Swisher is a founding member of the workforce macro coalition group to define, address and eliminate barriers. She works with K-12, community colleges and higher education on career awareness and career pathways.
She serves on the boards of ConnecToledo, the Toledo Zoo, and ProMedica Metropolitan Hospitals. She was co-founder of the Board Member Accelerator Series; a program designed to educate and develop young professionals for future roles as non-profit leaders. Under Swisher’s leadership the Chamber developed “Summer in the City,” a 10-week program for interns to expose to all the region has to offer and influence their career choice for this region.
In 2020, Swisher was selected by the Association of Chamber Executives to study economic recovery and resilience with 41 other chamber professionals across the U. S. In 2019, she received a 40 Under 40 award from the Association of Chamber Executives.
Swisher is a graduate of Bowling Green State University.
