MEG SIMON

Findlay High School

Meg Simon is Head Principal at Findlay High School. After joining the Findlay school system as a teacher in 2014, Simon moved to Assistant Principal at Findlay High School, followed by Head Principal at Glenwood Middle School and then to her current role as Head Principal at Findlay High School where she is the youngest female head principal in the history of FHS. Through the Equity, Diversity, Belonging Committee, she works to establish a sense of belonging for all members of Findlay City Schools. She co-created the Care Team at FHS to remove barriers, support students with wraparound services, and to provide access to basic necessities. Her “Turkeys for Trojans” initiative has raised thousands of dollars to provide Thanksgiving meals for students and families through community collaboration. She also serves on the Branding and Marketing Committee for Findlay City Schools. In 2020, Simon received the “Ohio High School Assistant Principal of the Year” award.

Believing that Findlay Schools should be part of the decision-making process for the Findlay community, she is sought out as a community leader and voice for Findlay City Schools. She is a member of the City of Findlay’s Forward Strategic Planning Committee and serves on the boards of the Hancock Federal Credit Union, the Children’s Museum, and the Findlay Service League.

Simon earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Bowling Green State University.
