Jennifer Kurtovic, Executive Director of Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce, decided to redirect her energy in 2021 from corporate America to a career path that was more community based to try to make a difference in the community where she lived. When she began her role as executive director of the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber that year, she focused on public relations and membership growth. In her three years, she has seen membership growth of 165%, an increase in the scholarship program of 1100%, and the addition of new events to engage members and the community. “Cookies with Santa,” a free holiday event, also serves as a toy drive for their region. In 2024, two new events launched—”Sip on the Ship” at National Museum of the Great Lakes, and a “Business After Hours” Chamber mixer with the Perrysburg Chamber. 

Kurtovic serves on the board of directors for Oregon Growth Corporation, Oregon Senior Center, and Jake & Coopers Bark Park. She is a member of the Community Advisory Board at Cenovus Toledo Refinery, and the Community Advisory Panel at PBF Energy Toledo Refining Company.  

She is a graduate of Lourdes University and is a 2024 Leadership Toledo Signature Program graduate.
