EMILY STEVERS, founder / CEO of Fire Relief Foundation
Emily Stevers started, owns, and operates a construction cleaning company. She is also the founder and CEO of the Fire Relief Foundation, a nonprofit organization which she founded after experiencing her own house fire and losing everything. From that experience she learned that—after the Red Cross helped with immediate relief—there were no long-term resources. So she established an organization that has helped over 100 people on their unfortunate and long paths of negotiating life after a fire.
She has been recognized as a CASA Volunteer of the Year, serves on the board of directors for the Children’s Museum of Findlay, and created and implemented Findlay’s Firehouse #5 in the Children’s Museum. Her 18-year-old daughter will begin her college career in the fall to become a speech pathologist.
